Making Painting-Like Pictures

You can add a bit of a painting-like touch to photographs by putting a layer (or two) of clear matt varnish over them and then wrapping them around a wooden frame.



This one is a picture taken at an old country museum.



It was adjusted for colours to look more like a painting and then covered with two layers of clear varnish. It was then put on a wooden frame and the result is surprisingly good.
